We congratulate South Africa’s 442, 672 Matriculants who passed the 2016 Matrics, making up a 72.5% pass rate, compared to 70.7% from last year.

In reactions to the results, some have welcomed the news, while a few others thought there was room for improvement.

Of particular interest though is the continued poor performances in the big three provinces – Limpopo, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal.

On the show with us today, Samuel Mahlangu from Tulip Combined High School, talks to us about how he got to pass the examinations and says he feels like David, after taking down Goliath. Samual also quotes 1 John 4:4, as his inspiration, and how he knows a greater power energizes him, and spurs him unto success.

The other guest Thando Khumalo talks about the book: “The Power of your Mind.” She talks about losing her mother, and how the devil made her feel her life was over. However, she says the book made her put a halt to the devil making a playground of her mind, and took control.
