We honour a man sent from God, who played a pivotal role in spreading the gospel to many nations. A true and significant evangelical Christian figure, known to many as Evangelist Billy Graham.
Born William Franklin Graham Jr on the 7th of November 1918. Evangelist Billy Graham was an ordained Southern Baptist minister who became well known internationally in the late 1940s. He is renowned for holding large indoor and outdoor rallies with sermons that were broadcasted on radio and television, some still being rebroadcasted into the 21st century. Dubbed “Pastor to the Presidents”, Evan Billy had a personal audience with many sitting US presidents, from Harry S. Truman to America’s current president Donald Trump.
Evangelist Billy Graham lived a legacy and has been looked upon as one of the most influential preachers of the 20th century. In his six decades of television, Evangelist Billy Graham hosted annual Billy Graham Crusades, which ran from 1947 until his retirement in 2005. He’s ministry repudiated racial segregation helping to shape the worldview of a huge number of people who came from different backgrounds. Evangelist Billy Graham preached to live audiences of nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories through various meetings, resulting in the salvation of millions. He extended his reach to hundreds of millions more through television, video, radio, film and webcasts causing unconventional doors opening to the gospel.
