On this episode of divine flavours, Chipo prepares Chicken and Pineapple Coleslaw and a Hake and Pea Risotto. Risotto is a northern Italian rice dish, that comes out really moist and succulent, because it is cooked in a broth. Hake can be replaced with Haddock in this recipe.

The chicken breast is also a great ingredient. Boneless and skinless chicken breasts have a reputation of being at the top of the list of lean proteins to eat for fat loss. It’s benefits include the fact that it is a fat-burning powerhouse, has no carbs, no sugar, and has a high-protein content. It also contains many essential vitamins which include omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamins B6, B12, riboflavin, niacin, thiamine, E, pantothenic acid, calcium, iron, potassium and zinc.

It is definitely a healthy meal, as it uses fish, lean chicken, cashew nuts, fresh herbs, pineapples, and carrots and cabbage. Chipo also replaced the traditional mayonnaise with a mixture of mustard, honey and apple cider vinegar – an obviously healthier substitute.
