On the 16th of June 39 years ago in Soweto, black South African students marched against the imposition of Afrikaans as the language of instruction in schools and were massacred. The Youth Live show commemorates this day.

After an awesome first episode the day before this second episode of The Youth Live show featured four guests; a presentation by two poets, a business woman and a motivational speaker – Sibongile Mduli and Reitumetse Makgopela a High School student and a leader in the Christ Embassy Teens Ministry.

Together with the vibrant Youth Live Show presenters the guests tackled topics around living an impactful life as a young person in todays world, and how one can become a success in life.  Well known quotes from the Man of God Pastor (Dr) Chris Oyakhilome featured answers to questions around these topics. Quotes such as “all things you’ll ever need in your life are wrapped up in the word”, young people were encouraged to go for God’s word above all.

Sibongile continued by sharing on her involvement in The Apprentesses Leadership 2015. The Apprentesses Leadership contest is aimed at developing young female leaders in South Africa. This mentorship program looks at empowering young women to be leaders, not only in their families, with friends and colleagues, but in a national context. She says being a contestant on The Apprentesses Leadership 2015 has helped open her mind to entrepreneurship and becoming a great leader.
