In this episode of Student Life, our hosts Nande, Cassey and Buku talk to guests from The South African Department of Higher Education and Training Thandeka Langa and Abigail Baloyi.
In the first part of the video we read a letter from a matriculant who says: I am a matriculant and have been accepted in two different institutions, a private college and a university, but I don’t know which one to choose, in terms of reputation or what it really means to attend a college or university. The college offers a National certificate while the university offers a degree. I need clarity on this, and I would also like to know why I don’t qualify for certain courses because of my marks. How important is my credit score when making an application for admission and for bursary?
